KINGS OF MACEDON. Perdikkas II, 451-413 BC. Tetrobol (Silver, 15 mm, 2.46 g, 12 h), heavy series, circa 437/6-432/1. Horseman, wearing petasos, holding two spears and riding horse to right; below, dog standing right. Rev. Forepart of a lion to right; above, kerykeion; all within incuse square. Raymond 200 (A26d/HP24c). SNG Copenhagen 500 (same dies). Rare with dog on the obverse. Beautifully toned and unusually attractive. Minor flan faults (or traces of overstriking?) on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
